Job Description

Door Tech, a leading provider of high-quality doors and related products, is seeking a talented and dedicated Door Builder to join our team in Lexington, NC.

As a Door Builder, you will play a vital role in our manufacturing process, ensuring that our doors are assembled with precision and excellence. You will assemble various-sized aluminum doors (just frames or frames around the glazed glass). You will work closely with our team of skilled craftsmen to create top-notch doors that meet our customers' expectations. Your exceptional eye for detail and commitment to quality will be instrumental in producing doors that are not only functional but also aesthetically appealing.

Responsibilities:

  • Gather door assembly parts from carts and place them on the door-building table.
  • Assemble the door with a Pneumatic Air Screwdriver and other power tools.
  • Picks up and places completed doors on the cart.
  • Cross-training in the processing of extrusion (using small punch presses, etc).
  • Utilize your technical skills and expertise to assemble doors according to specifications and blueprints.
  • Inspect door components for quality, ensuring that they meet our high standards.
  • Measure and cut materials accurately to ensure proper fit and alignment.
  • Operate hand and power tools, such as saws, drills, and routers, to shape and finish door components.
  • Install hardware components, such as hinges, locks, and handles, with precision and care.
  • Collaborate with the production team to meet daily production targets while maintaining quality standards.
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.


Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Able to pick up 50 pounds consistently.
  • Able to read a tape measure and work orders.
  • Ability to understand English.
  • Previous experience in door assembly or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • A Self-Starter with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Physical stamina to stand, lift, and carry heavy materials as needed.
