This Opportunity is for a Director of Business Development.

This position is ideal for a dynamic leader who is passionate about advancing behavioral health services through innovative strategies and collaborative efforts.

Rockford Center is a 138-bed facility that provides easy access to a wide spectrum of inpatient behavioral healthcare and outpatient programs for  adults ,  adolescents , and  children . The Center is always evolving to meet the complex behavioral healthcare needs of the community with its main facility in Newark coupled with a Day Treatment facility, Rockford at the Orchards, located in Wilmington.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Develops and maintains a current knowledge of general economic and business status of the behavior healthcare market, providing relevant information and strategic plans to develope profitable new business opportunities to proactively meet changing needs of the market.
  • Strategically analyze and designate target markets for account managers.
  • Act as a resource to team members and department managers.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of facility programs and services including Inpatient and Outpatient programs, the assessment process and transportation services.
  • Develops and maintains a comprehensive knowledge of the facility’s admission criteria and exclusionary criteria as it applies to inpatient and outpatient programs.
  • Works with appropriate leadership team members to regularly obtain and effectively analyze and communicate available clinical outcome and patient satisfaction data.
  • Routinely communicates with referral sources regarding satisfaction level with treatment at the facility.
  • Develops and coordinates hospital publicity program. Volunteers to make public presentations or carry out similar functions in support of hospital’s goals. 
  • Direct public relations effort through use of press releases, seminars, open houses, community education programs, health fairs, etc.
  • Serves as the liaison, under the direction of the CEO and CFO, between the facility and payer entities and in a manner consistent with corporate expectations.
  • Support facility internal and external customer service standards.
Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or related field required. Masters of Business Administration or related field highly preferred. Prior marketing and/or sales experience within a behavioral healthcare setting preferred. Five years minimum experience in organizational communications, referral development, workshop planning, sales management, and physician relationships preferred. A valid Driver’s License is required.
