Job Description

Purpose: 

Under the direction of the Communications Manager, the Digital Marketing Specialist assists with the preparation, promotion and execution of World Dairy Expo, the meeting place of the global dairy industry. This position utilizes analytical skills, graphic design, writing, and social media management tools to provide customer services to exhibitors, attendees, and global media professionals while amplifying the messaging of World Dairy Expo.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Graphic and show material design, including ads, management report, show summary, cattle log covers and advertisements.
• Development and management of all signage, including design, ordering, inventory delivery.
• Develop and implement comprehensive digital marketing strategy.
• Monitor activity, answer questions, create content, analyze trends, and resolve issues on social media channels.
• Creation and distribution of press releases in AP style.
• Website administration and management.
• Script and biography writing.
• Collaborate on Expo Daily Edition and Office Program content creation and execution.
• Assist with sponsorship deliverables and materials.
• Administration of company surveys and compilation of results.
• Organize and maintain World Dairy Expo's image and video libraries. 
• Oversee the Media Room at World Dairy Expo.

Occasional Responsibilities - Other duties as assigned

Educational Requirements:  Bachelor's Degree in dairy, agriculture, or communications related field and two-years related experience. Three to five years experience preferred.

Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, walk significant distances, climb stairs, and work extended hours to meet business needs.

Position Requirements:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suites with strong design skills
• Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and creative, out-of-the-box thinking
• Strong work ethic and willingness to complete tasks
• Understanding of various social media platforms utilized by World Dairy Expo
• Comprehensive understanding of agriculture and the dairy industry
• Experience with data management and analysis a plus
