Salary: $25 - $30 +, depending on experience.
Full Job Description The Contractor Consultants is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Yard Worker to join the team. As a Construction Equipment Yard Worker w/CDL A, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the organization, cleanliness, and efficiency of our yard and vehicles. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks, from organizing materials to prepping trucks and delivering supplies. If you are a hardworking individual with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to safety, we want you on our team.
Who We Are Opportunities are here for hard workers at this family-owned and operated electrical and underground utility contractor, specializing in the installation of traffic signal systems, street lighting, park and trail lighting systems, sports field and high mast lighting, airport lighting systems, and underground phone, cable, power feeders, and fiber optic systems. Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To - Yard Organization:
- Organize and maintain a clean and safe yard environment.
- Keep materials labeled, organized, and protected.
- Truck Maintenance:
- Clean, maintain, and organize trucks regularly.
- Check fluids, lights, and equipment, addressing issues as needed.
- Material Handling:
- Load and unload materials onto trucks. Deliver and pickup materials at job sites, vendors, etc.
- Restock and refuel trucks and equipment.
- Deliveries and Pickups:
- Deliver materials to team members and designated locations.
- Pick up materials from vendors and job sites.
- Receiving and Inspecting:
- Receive and inspect delivered materials and fuel.
- Organize materials in appropriate locations.
- Equipment Operation:
- Safely operate basic construction equipment and tools.
- Must be able to safely operate semi trucks and flat beds to transport and deliver equipment and materials.
- Must be able to safely operate truck mounted cranes and bucket trucks.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Follow all safety regulations and procedures.
- Ensure proper use of safety gear and equipment.
- Closing Duties:
- Secure and lock all trucks, tools, and equipment at the end of the day.
- Ensure all areas are cleaned and locked before leaving.
The Ideal Candidate Should Possess - Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- 1 year of licensed driving experience required.
- Ability to organize and maintain a clean and safe yard environment.
- Experience with cleaning and maintaining trucks and equipment.
- Ability to lift 90lbs+ and move materials.
- Ability to work outside in the Las Vegas weather and heat.
- Must have BOTH a valid driver's license and CDL A license.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
- Commitment to safety procedures and regulations.
