Amentum is now hiring for several Computer Engineer (All Levels) positions in support of the Field, Lab and Air Integration / Experimentation / Modeling and Risk Reduction (FLAIR) office at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD and other locations. This project will provide the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM), Command, Control, Computers, Communications, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Research (C5ISR) Center services to include programmatic/business management services, engineering support services, field engineering, laboratory, logistics, and acquisition / administrative support services to augment FLAIR core Government personnel and turn-key solutions to support the missions of FLAIR and its associated Managers and customers. This support will be conducted in close coordination with Government project leads within FLAIR.

The candidate will perform the following duties:
Analyzes organizational business needs in terms of information technology systems requirements. Develops information technology systems that will provide system capabilities required for projected workloads and plans layout and installation of new system or modification of existing system.
Excludes paraprofessional positions. Confers within the organization with various managers and staff to obtain information on limitations and capabilities of existing system and capabilities required for information technology requirements of the future.
Evaluates factors such as number of departments serviced by data processing equipment, reporting formats required, volume of transactions, time requirements and cost constraints, and need for security and access restrictions to determine hardware configurations.
Analyzes information to determine, recommend, and plan layout for type of computers and peripheral equipment, or modifications to existing equipment and system that will provide capability for proposed project or workload, efficient operation, and effective use of allotted space.
May enter data into computer terminal to store, retrieve, and manipulate data for analysis of system capabilities and requirements.
May specify power supply requirements and configuration.
May recommend purchase of equipment to control dust, temperature, and humidity in area of system installation.
May specialize in one area of system application or in one type or make of equipment.
May train users to use new or modified equipment.
May monitor functioning of equipment to ensure system operates in conformance with specifications.
May represent consulting firm or equipment manufacturer.
Provides professional engineering that requires primarily the application of knowledge to: (1) fundamentals and principles of professional engineering; (2) computer hardware, systems software, and computer system architecture and integration; and (3) mathematics, including calculus, probability, statistics, discrete structures, and modern algebra. Which pertains primarily to the research, design, development, testing, evaluation, and maintenance of computer hardware and software systems in an integrated manner.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or related scientific discipline.
1-10+ years of experience.
8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education.
Must have an Active TOP SECRET US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain a TOP SECRET Clearance.
Compensation:
HIRING SALARY RANGE: $65,000 - $200,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.).
