Position Overview

The Commercial HVAC Project Manager will oversee and manage large-scale HVAC projects from inception to completion, ensuring that all aspects of the project are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems and significant experience in commercial construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and execution of commercial HVAC projects valued over $5 million.
  • Manage budgets, timelines, and project deliverables to ensure successful completion of each project.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, contractors, and clients, to meet project objectives.
  • Oversee the estimation process for HVAC systems and ensure accurate budgeting and cost control.
  • Implement project management best practices to monitor progress and identify potential risks.
  • Prepare and manage change orders, unit rates, and pricing negotiations with subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Develop strong market knowledge to identify opportunities for new projects and streamline project delivery processes.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment and provide leadership to project teams throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and industry standards related to HVAC systems in commercial settings.


Qualifications

  • 3+ Years' experience as a Project Manager in commercial HVAC projects, especially ground-up construction.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and mechanical systems related to new construction projects.
  • Experience managing projects with budgets exceeding $5 million.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Solid understanding of project estimation, budgeting, and cost control methodologies.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Strong planning skills and market knowledge in the HVAC field.
  • Familiarity with MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) systems and integration in commercial projects.
  • Nice to have: Experience with data centers, healthcare facilities, educational institutions, and mission-critical projects.
