CNC Operator (Urgent Hire)
Location: Stevensville, MI
Raizan Solutions LLC is hiring for their client as a direct hire. Raizan Solutions does not charge candidates.
Must-Haves:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a CNC Operator, with a strong background in mold casting operations.
- Proficiency with ISO 9001-2015 quality standards.
- Ability to set up, program, and operate CNC machines with precision and efficiency.
- Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD models for CNC machine operations.
- Strong understanding of G-code and M-code programming for CNC machines.
- Ability to perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC machines to ensure minimal downtime.
- Familiarity with machining various materials (e.g., metals, plastics, composites) and ensuring optimal machine settings.
- Knowledge of tolerances, surface finishes, and quality control procedures, ensuring products meet required specifications.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-precision manufacturing environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Nice-to-Have:
- Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification or experience in continuous improvement processes.
- Familiarity with CNC machine automation and advanced software tools for optimizing machining processes.
- Experience with tooling and fixture design for CNC machines.
- Knowledge of 5-axis CNC machining.
- Experience in metal mold design or die-casting processes.
- Ability to use measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges for quality inspection.
- Experience in working with CAM software for CNC programming.
Responsibilities:
- Set up, program, and operate CNC machines for mold casting and ensure parts meet design specifications and ISO 9001-2015 standards.
- Work from blueprints, CAD models, and technical drawings to produce accurate and high-quality products.
- Monitor machine performance, make adjustments as needed to maintain tolerances, and ensure product quality.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure CNC machinery operates efficiently and minimizes production delays.
- Maintain and manage tooling for CNC machines, ensuring proper selection and use of cutting tools.
- Adhere to safety protocols and ensure all CNC operations are conducted in a safe and compliant manner.
- Collaborate with the quality control team to inspect finished products and ensure they meet required standards for accuracy and precision.
- Document machine operations, parts produced, and any issues that arise during the production process.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities to optimize processes, improve quality, and reduce cycle times.
- Work closely with engineers, supervisors, and other team members to ensure production goals and deadlines are met.
- Assist in training junior CNC operators and mentoring them in best practices and safety procedures.
Additional Information:
- This is a full-time position, and the candidate must be willing to work in a manufacturing environment that involves standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working in a fast-paced production floor.
