**Join Our Team (Paid Internship 2025)**
**Internship Summary**
The Internship Program with Ascension is designed to provide an on-the-job learning opportunity aimed at gaining "real world" work experience in a large healthcare environment, supporting leadership with data driven insights that deliver value to those we serve. Ascension's objective is to provide a working and learning environment where interns can develop the skills and competencies necessary to grow into successful professionals and potential Ascension associates. The intern will work in the Clinical Quality division of ADSI, within the Clinical Transformation Analytics team.
**What You Will Do**
As a Clinical Transformation Analytics Intern you will have the opportunity to participate in projects that support Ascension's goal to differentiate ourselves on patient quality and innovation. Clinical Transformation is a rapidly growing division of the company working to leverage health technologies that include AI, wearables, virtual care, personalized patient messaging, and remote patient monitoring - with our team leading analytic efforts around these programs. You will be integrated within a multi-disciplinary group of data scientists, developers, engineers, and medical professionals, supporting the rapid development, monitoring, reporting, and scaling of these digital programs.
**Essential Functions:**
+ Strong Analytical Skill and experience with RDBMS systems and/or big data and Cloud.
+ Understands database schemas, data flow diagrams, and data specifications.
+ Understands source systems and the common business and technical keys.
+ Translating functional requirements to technical specifications.
+ Reviews and evaluates developed data output to ensure it conforms to business and technical requirements.
+ Translates technical issues for product owners and functional stakeholders.
+ Resolve differences between conflicting functional requirements by championing the communications and vetting needs warranted for overall needs.
**What You Will Need**
Education:
+ Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's (or higher) degree in Business, Computer Science, Healthcare Informatics Linguistics, Operations Research, data science, technology degree, and/or a related technical field.
**Preferred Competencies:**
+ Effective analytical and project management skills.
+ Preferred JIRA experience
+ Deals well with ambiguity and "start-up" environments.
+ Excellent communication skills.
