Job Description

Are you an experienced bookkeeper with QuickBooks Online expertise looking for a remote role where you can grow with a dynamic team? We are seeking a motivated, organized individual to manage a variety of bookkeeping tasks while contributing to the success of our growing company. This is a fully remote position, and you'll have the flexibility to choose between working from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM or 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM based on your time zone.

As a Bookkeeper, you will play an essential role in managing financial transactions for a portfolio of 10-20 clients, ensuring accuracy and timely execution of tasks. Your responsibilities will include managing bank reconciliations, tracking invoices, and assisting with payroll. Experience as an Accountant or Staff Accountant is a bonus but not a requirement.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform bank and credit card reconciliations with precision.
Conduct bookkeeping reviews to ensure financial accuracy.
Manage the payment of bills and loans.
Oversee invoice collection and management.
Process and file 1099 forms and handle sales tax calculations.
Assist with payroll filing and reporting.
Maintain financial transaction spreadsheets and time logs.
Submit detailed daily reports on client work to your supervisor.
Document work completed using internal software tools.
Flexibly handle additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:

Education & Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent.
1-3 years of hands-on experience using QuickBooks Online is essential.
1-3 years of bookkeeping experience, particularly for small businesses.
Experience as an Accountant or Staff Accountant is a plus but not mandatory.
Skills & Competencies:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
Ability to handle stress and meet deadlines effectively.
QuickBooks Online proficiency is required.
A commitment to punctuality and maintaining a high standard of work.
Strong attention to detail, including maintaining client confidentiality.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Flexibility to work varied hours as needed.
Proficiency in English.
Hiring Process:

Complete the online application form.
Qualified candidates will be asked to complete an IQ and typing assessment.
Successful applicants will participate in an initial Zoom interview.
Candidates will then complete a QuickBooks Online assessment with mock bookkeeping tasks.
Final interviews will be held with the team.
Working Conditions:
This is a remote role, but you may occasionally be required to work evenings or weekends based on business needs. You may also interact with challenging clients from time to time.

Physical Requirements:

You will need a functional computer, high-speed internet, dual monitors, and antivirus software.
A webcam and audio setup are required for Zoom meetings.
The ability to work at a computer for 8 hours a day, with occasional overtime, is necessary.
