Job Description

Bookkeeper

We're looking for a skilled and reliable Bookkeeper to join our team! In this role, you'll primarily focus on finance and accounting tasks for several clients, but there may also be some internal work involved. You'll collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders across various industries, and manage multiple high-priority tasks on a regular basis.

What You'll Do:

At the beginning of your journey with us, you'll have the opportunity to get to know your colleagues and familiarize yourself with our workflow. You'll also learn about our clients and the exciting projects we're working on. You'll assist with general bookkeeping, reporting, and payroll, and meet with your manager weekly to ensure everything is running smoothly.

As you settle in, you'll take on more responsibilities, including:

- Supporting month-end close processes.
- Managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
- Handling bank account and credit card reconciliations.

What We're Looking For:

To thrive in this role, you should be an independent and dependable professional with real-world bookkeeping experience. A solid understanding of accounting basics and strong communication skills are essential. You'll be working with multiple teams and clients, so being comfortable juggling multiple tasks and maintaining organization is key.

Required:

- Strong, independent work ethic
- Practical bookkeeping experience
- Basic accounting knowledge
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong data analysis and organizational skills
- Ability to follow established processes and workflows
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and/or Xero

Nice to Have:

- Experience managing a portfolio of client accounts
- QBO Pro Advisor or similar certification
- Experience working with remote clients

Compensation & Schedule:

- $25-$30 per hour, depending on experience
- Part-time position (2-30 hours per week)
