America Reports is seeking an experienced Booker to join the team. The ideal candidate is an energetic and proactive self-starter with a positive attitude who will build upon prior relationships with high-profile guests to book strong newsmakers and exclusive interviews on a daily basis. As a booker, you are also prepared to set up shoots, interviews, and town halls in the field.
You will be offered the following shift:
Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM ET - 4:00 PM ET
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Book guests under the deadline pressure of a daily live show
Track down difficult-to-find people using social media & other tools
Work collaboratively with co-workers to determine the best approach to securing high-profile interviews
Pitch unique stories and guests of interest to our audience
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3 years of prior television (or similar) experience
Ability to establish/build relationships with guests and high profile newsmakers
Ability to maintain those relationships when bookings need to be canceled or rescheduled
Understanding that the news never stops, and some work may be required outside regular hours
