Position Description:

Promotes coffee consumption by educating customers on Thrive Services Group Inc. ("Thrive")'s mission & vision. Prepares and serves a variety of coffee drinks, along with pastries and cookies. Instrumental in building customer relationships and fostering a positive and friendly store environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Welcomes customers by determining their coffee interests and needs, maintaining a positive attitude at all times.
• Educates customers by presenting and explaining the coffee drink menu and answering questions.
• Prepares and sells coffee drinks by following prescribed recipes and preparation techniques for coffee drinks, such as espresso, latte and cappuccino.
• Generates revenues by attracting new customers.
• Maintains inventory by replenishing coffee bean supply, stocking coffee brewing equipment, maintaining supplies, pastries, and cookies.
• Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance and calling for repairs.
• Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations.
• Performs assigned cleaning duties before, during and after the shift.
• Performs other related duties, as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills):

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior caf or coffee shop experience preferred.
• Familiarity with telephone, office, and point-of-sale software.
• Maricopa County Food Handler card required.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen, where applicable for position.
