NeueHouse currently operates across four different, but equally iconic, properties in New York City and Los Angeles:

• Our Madison Square (MSQ) House is situated in New York’s iconic Flatiron District, was previously home for Tepper Galleries, a well-known Manhattan auction house for international artists and collectors in the 1930s – and neighbors the 69th Regiment Armory where the first International Exhibition of Modern Art was held.
• Our Hollywood House (HWD) , which sits on Sunset Boulevard, is one of LA’s most celebrated buildings and occupies the original CBS Studio (the world’s first structure built intentionally for broadcast). Here genre- defining artists from Orson Wells and Lucille Ball to Janis Joplin, the Beach Boys, and Bob Dylan built their legacy.
• Our Venice Beach House (VB) was once the creative home to some of the most influential creative luminaries in art and entertainment including Hal Ashby, Oliver Stone, and David Hockney, NeueHouse Venice Beach is a new work, social, and cultural hub for the Venice creative community.

The Role

The Audio/Visual Technology Lead is responsible for the entire AV needs and equipment including:

• The House
• Events (private and programming) 

The Audio/Visual Technology Lead oversees the technical execution of all NeueHouse and Event needs. Manages the organizational infrastructure of the broadcast studio, cinema and Penthouse or any other spaces that have AV needs.  They serve as the primary resource for operation of all NeueHouse audio/visual systems. This person creates, curates, and facilitates unique experience elements for member based and private hire events.

Requirements

In-House + General

• Plan and execute on all audio/visual related in-house functions
• Explore, assist, and create audio/visual experiences throughout the house when required 
• Maintain operational knowledge of all audio/visual building systems 
• Organize, log, and maintain all house equipment
• Manage all third-party maintenance agreement as it pertains to AV i.e. Projectors
• Maintain a complete understanding of the goals, ideals, and visual aesthetic of NeueHouse MSQ 
• With a mindfulness for quality deliverables, align with IT and workplace resources to execute on AV / VC requests in a timely fashion 
• Setting and upholding all AV SOPs and communicate and document system and process changes to the business. 

Events

• Liaise with private hire clients, brand partners, and house teams in the planning and production of events. This may include liaising directly with clients of pre-sold events to help find AV solutions, assisting in the sales process 
• Research, budget, and source outside contractors and equipment for events 
• Oversee the all audio and tech needs of live events - guarantee professional quality sound reinforcements for spoken word, musicians, etc. 
• Design and facilitate relevant performance lighting when required 
• Oversee technical events coordinators including for example per event: 
• Review planned production schedule and provide live services when scheduled
• Configure and test audio systems and troubleshoot as required 
• Fine tune audio systems to perform to excellent standards 
• Provide technical expertise and solutions relative to live audio 
• Responsible for AV revenue and expenses, ensuring cost % are maintained

Budget 

• Create quotes / proposal for all events 
• Review rates and comp set annually 
• Assess labor costs 
• Finalize P&L for all events 

We are looking to connect with candidates who bring:

• At least 5 years of experience providing a range of AV and conferencing support services to PC and Mac users. 
• At least 1 year experience managing a small to medium AV team 
• Fluency with video conferencing technology and applications 
• Experience managing projects with external vendors 
• Strong team player who understands that customer service comes first before anything else 
• Flexible and open to changing priorities and managing multiple tasks simultaneously within compressed time frames 
• Thoughtful decision-making skills with a knack for identifying, prioritizing, and articulating the highest impact initiatives 
• Able to meet deliverables and drive your work to completion within specified timelines

The anticipated salary for this position is $75,000 a year. NeueHouse is committed to equitable and competitive compensation and benefits packages for our team members and will consider many factors when extending offers of employment.
