Job Description

COMPANY OVERVIEW

Orange County Soccer Club is Orange County’s only professional soccer team playing in the United Soccer League (USL) Championship, the fastest growing Division II professional soccer league in the world. The USL Championship is comprised of 24 teams across the United States. The team plays its home games at the Orange County Great Park’s Championship Soccer Stadium, located in Irvine, CA. Nestled in the heart of the Great Park, Championship Soccer Stadium has a capacity of over 5,000 for Orange County SC matches. The schedule consists of 17 regular season home games, plus a handful of additional events. Orange County SC was one of 12 founding members of the USL during its inaugural 2011 season when it played as the LA Blues before moving to Orange County in 2013.  In 2021, Orange  County SC brought home the USL Championship Cup as the league’s best team besting the Tampa Rowdies, 3-1 in the playoff final to capture the USL Championship title.

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

Gameday

  • Responsible for overseeing the ticket office during all home games
  • Works closely with Sr. Director of Ticket Operations and VP Sales & Service
  • Effectively communicates information regarding attendance, dynamic pricing, service and venue needs 
  • Verify reports & balance ticket sellers at close of shift; assist with preparing cash banks and deposits
  • Provide the highest level of service, ensuring all issues are resolved in an efficient and accurate manner
  • Assist with management and training of Box Office ticket sellers
  • Answers questions about Orange County Soccer Club and assists guests with questions, wayfinding, etc.
  • Maintaining a level of patience with guests (complaints, bag check, lost items, general FAQs)

Ticket Operations

  • Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of Orange County Soccer Club
  • Assist in data collection and organization
  • Assist in marketing and selling suggestions based off data findings
  • Assist in overseeing ticketing demographics and segmentation
  • Assist in oversight for the OCSC Kid’s Club
  • This position is required to attend all home OCSC matches (Unless discussed with supervisor)
  • This position MUST be proficient in Microsoft excel
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in sports management, business management, or related field
  • Experience with ticketing systems, Ticketmaster product knowledge preferred 
  • Strong verbal listening and organizational skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and prior experience with ticket operations
  • Works well in a fast-paced, team environment
  • Detail-oriented, driven self-motivator with a strong work ethic to get the job done
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work productively and multi-task in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions and tight deadlines
  • Always demonstrates a positive and professional attitude
  • Must have the ability to work extended/irregular hours including nights, weekends and holidays 
  • Must be able to work home game & event dates for Orange County Soccer Club and arrive on time
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
