Job Summary The Safety Manager promotes and manages safety and health programs to prevent work-related injuries and illnesses, minimize material losses, and reduce operational interruptions due to accidents. This role involves overseeing safety audits, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with safety policies, procedures, and legal regulations. Salary: $70,000/yr Responsibilities Safety Management:

  • Lead safety audits and ensure compliance with WFS safety policies.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for safety incidents, including employee injuries and aircraft accidents.
  • Identify safety risks, recommend corrective actions, and promote continuous improvement in safety practices.
  • Organize and lead safety committee meetings, providing regular updates and feedback to management.
  • Review safety trends, analyze incident reports, and implement preventive measures.
  • Ensure adherence to communication protocols and safety reporting systems.
Quality Assurance:
  • Lead investigations into service failures (e.g., delays, loading errors) and propose corrective actions.
  • Monitor client Service Level Agreements (SLAs), including on-time performance (OTP), first/last bag delivery, and cargo handling.
  • Create and distribute bulletins or briefings based on safety and quality findings, ensuring clear communication of corrective actions.
Training & Compliance:
  • Conduct periodic audits to ensure compliance with safety and training requirements for ramp, cabin cleaning, and other operational services.
  • Work with training departments to identify areas for improvement in safety and on-the-job training (OJT).
  • Ensure access to airlines' General Operating Manuals (GOMs) and establish specific safety protocols for the airport.
  • Develop and implement local operating procedures (LOPs) based on risk assessments.Minimum Requirements
  • Extensive knowledge of health and safety regulations and guidelines.
  • Strong understanding of data analysis and risk assessment methodologies.
  • Experience in safety audits, incident investigation, and reporting.
  • Ability to read, write, and fluently speak and understand the English languagePreferred Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Safety Management, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field
  • Excellent organizational and leadership abilities, with a proven ability to motivate teams.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, with strong observational skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of interacting with all levels of personnel.
  • Ability to produce reports, develop policies, and present findings to senior management.Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
  • Ability to walk, stand, and occasionally climb during safety audits and inspections.
  • Ability to identify safety hazards and assess operational processes.
  • Capable of lifting up to 20-30 pounds when necessary.
  • Must be able to hear and speak clearly in noisy environments.
