Job Description

Our client is seeking skilled and compassionate Respiratory Therapists to join their team. These positions are focused on providing diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory care services to patients with diverse needs. The roles are night shifts with rotating weekends and holidays, offering the opportunity to make a significant impact in patient care in Middlebury, Vermont.

Responsibilities:

Perform cardio-pulmonary resuscitation and artificial airway management.
Operate and maintain respiratory equipment, including mechanical ventilators and CPAP systems.
Administer aerosolized drugs, oxygen therapy, humidity therapy, and pulse oximetry.
Conduct blood gas drawing, analysis, and interpretation.
Perform pulmonary function testing and incentive spirometry.
Provide chest physiotherapy and airway clearance techniques.
Educate patients and communicate effectively with other departments.
Ensure quality control of all respiratory equipment and participate in disinfection processes.
Actively engage in the department’s Quality Assurance Program and in-service education initiatives.
Manage patient transportation, as staffing allows.
Carry out additional duties as assigned.

Must Haves:

Education: Associate degree from an AMA-approved program for Respiratory Care.
Licensure: State of Vermont Respiratory Therapy Licensure required before the start date.
Certification: Certified or Registered Respiratory Therapist (or eligibility to take the NBRC exam within one year of hire).
Transportation: Reliable transportation is necessary due to limited public options.

Nice to Haves:

Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications.
At least one year of experience as a Respiratory Therapist in a hospital setting.
Strong ability to work independently and manage responsibilities effectively.

Location : Middlebury, Vermont

Salary: $52,696 - $79,092

Signing Bonus: $5,000 to $7,500 depending on experience (terms and conditions apply).
Relocation Package: Partial assistance provided.
